Access Gas Services offers a vast array of natural gas plans tailored to suit your business needs. Natural gas prices are unpredictable and largely influenced by weather patterns, economic activity, geopolitical events and availability of supply. Depending upon the strength and timing of these factors, the price of natural gas can increase or decrease dramatically. Access Gas Services has developed the following plans to help you effectively manage your natural gas needs:

Fixed Price Product
The Access Gas Services Fixed Price Product provides our customers with long-term price protection and predictability on a month-to-month basis. Based on your historical consumption, your Account Manager will work with you to develop a comprehensive procurement plan customized to effectively meet your financial objectives. With the Fixed Price Product, you are able to secure a price for up to 95% of your expected consumption. The remaining consumption floats on the open market at either the Sumas Daily Index Rate (BC only) or AECO-5A (AB only). To allow flexibility in your usage patterns, you are able to customize the amount of gas, or the block, based on what you expect to consume for each month of the year. Any consumption outside of your monthly contracted block will be bought or sold at the Sumas Daily/AECO-5A Index Rate.

Index Product
The Index Product is a fluctuating rate based on the Sumas Daily/AECO-5A Index Price. Index prices are fully transparent, set in the wholesale market and are published by independent sources. Customers can view these prices on their local utilities website and other independent sources. The Index Price is suitable for customers who want transparent wholesale prices and are able to cope with the price risk and volatility associated with short term rates.

Group Product (BC only)
The Access Gas Services Group Product is a fully managed product that was created to give our customers piece of mind. Your business is placed into a large buying group where our team of natural gas professionals obtain the best possible pricing and delivery options on behalf of the aggregate group. You receive the benefits of buying with a large group, without being subject to over or under consumption penalties. With the Group Product, our experts work to mitigate price risk while procuring affordable gas on behalf of the group thereby managing the daily volatility of the natural gas market. All customers in our Group Product pay the same monthly price for the natural gas they consume and have no volumetric obligation.
