Access Gas supplies natural gas to large commercial clients whose consumption is greater than 2,500 GJ/year.

British Columbia

The Unbundling Program was developed by FortisBC Energy in accordance with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) to allow independent marketers to supply natural gas to British Columbia consumers.

Depending on which rate class your business falls under, commercial customers have several options when purchasing their natural gas supply from a marketer.

Commercial Options

• If your site’s consumption is less than 2,000 GJ/year, you will most likely be classified as small commercial (Rate 2) or large commercial (Rate 3) and are eligible for the Commodity Unbundling Option.

• If your site’s consumption is greater than 2,000 GJ/year, you will most likely be classified as large commercial (Rate 3 or 23) or industrial (Rate 5, 7, 25, 27, 22) and are eligible for the Transportation Service Option.
